Pacman-Money super fight to happen in May?

Rumor is that this fight is going to possibly take place on May 1, 2010. No venue has been selected by there have been talks about having it in Cowboy Stadium in Texas or Yankee Stadium in New York. Paacquiao's promoter Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, currently representing Mayweather, are scheduled to have a meeting on Monday to discuss negotiations on the purses. Last I heard, Freddie Roach said a 50-50 split would be alright but you know Mayweather is not going to go for it.

So...I think since the magnitude of this fight is unbelievable and its really is going to be the biggest fight in boxing, possibly ever, they should do a winner take all purse. Loser goes home with nothing. Not only will this show how confident they are in their ability to be each other, but it would also make the fight so much more interesting, they'd really be fighting for millions of dollars. Plus it would make Floyd a little more aggressive possibly if he's losing the fight.

It's just a thought.

I think it would generally make the overall marketing of the fight that much stronger therefore bringing in even more money.

Just a thought though...I'm just a fan that wants this fight to happen.

  1. Cannot see it in New York, too much tax money to be lost. Texas has no state income tax, millions more for each fighter, and of course the promoter. Money is always the main issue, shouldn't be, but is.
